Plans that fit real families, from foundational wills to multi-generational wealth transfer.
Estate planning is the slow, careful work of putting an estate in order. We help Pacific Northwest families build the structures that make the next twenty years easier and the harder seasons less unkind, from foundational wills and powers of attorney to revocable and irrevocable trusts, business succession plans, and the multi-generational arrangements that hold a family enterprise together. Probate and trust administration follow when the planning is done. We do both.
This is patient work. We sit with families, explain options without pushing, and design plans that fit who you actually are, not who an off-the-shelf template assumes you to be. The firm practices in English and Japanese. We can usually find an answer that doesn't require a fight. When a dispute does come (trust contest, will contest, fiduciary breach, TEDRA), the firm's trial group takes the file.
Before a marriage or remarriage. After a death in the family. When a business succession comes into view. When a will turns out to be missing or unclear. When a beneficiary disputes a distribution. Probate, trust administration, contested estate matters. We do all of it, and we'd rather catch the problem before it becomes one.
A 30-minute call is often the fastest way to know if we’re the right fit.
