Jim Clark is one of the firm’s most experienced trial attorneys, with a practice that spans real estate and business matters from both sides of the table: the transaction, and the dispute that sometimes follows.
Jim represents business owners and decision-makers in contract, partnership, employment, trade-secret, and other business disputes, and he counsels many of those same clients on the transactional work that keeps them out of court in the first place. He also handles family law matters that turn on significant real estate or business interests. He is licensed in Washington and Montana and has practiced since 1989.
He brings the discipline of a courtroom lawyer to every file, whether it resolves at trial, in mediation, or quietly across a conference table. Clients value his preparation, his judgment, and the unvarnished assessment he gives them before they decide what to do next.
Jim earned his B.A. from Rocky Mountain College in 1983 and graduated from Willamette University School of Law in 1986, where he was a member of the Willamette Law Review. He is active in the Eastside/King County Bar Association. A former college basketball player, he now spends his time outside the office on the golf course and on the water, both, he’ll tell you, played with the same intensity.
